Job Summary
As a BDM, you help create the energy and excitement around a hectic building services engineering and facilities maintenance division, establish and grow lasting relationships so people want to use the company for their maintenance contracts. You understand that the company is dedicated to delivering a customer experience that’s unlike any other. It starts with you discovering customers’ needs. And with the support of other team members, you match those needs with the right service. Every day is an opportunity for you to turn another person into a loyal client customer.

Key Qualifications
Ability to deliver great customer experiences in a very active environment and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction.
Strong interest in service industry, particularly in building services engineering and facility maintenance contracts, and agility at learning new techniques, systems and processes.
Strong communication skills that let you converse as freely and comfortably with small groups as with individual customers.

As a BDM, you’re highly skilled at uncovering customers’ needs, then following through with enlightening solutions. Not only are you the first person customers meet from the organization but you’re also the person who guides them — advising and selling their new services. You perform other roles within the Company too, whether it’s maintaining visual merchandising or assisting team members. Always curious, you stay on top of news about services and initiatives, ready to apply your learning in customer interactions. Your success is measured by individual productivity as well as overall Company performance. You’re proud to represent this company and you get great satisfaction from helping customers develop lifelong relationships with us.

  • Happy-go-lucky, always bubbly despite what is going on around you especially if you are having a crap day.
    Be funny but professional.
  • Build-up strong relationships quickly.
  • Take time to listen to clients, have a photographic memory and able to recall what has been told to them even after a considerable amount of time after they have met that person.
  • Be able to hold interesting conversations even in subjects in a male orientated world such as football, golf etc.
  • Have the charisma to fill a room but not to take it over.
  • Be able to have the special quality whereby a perspective client would want to call you straight back and return your call or respond to an email sent by the person who we are looking to appoint.
  • Have some background in our industry and able to pick-up enough knowledge sufficient to open doors and generate real maintenance enquiries.
  • Willing to entertain and attend networking events frequently outside of normal working hours.
